INS and diabetes mellitus: Significant differences were observed in age, sex, educational level, BMI, drinking status, smoking status, SBP, DBP, fasting blood glucose, TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, past medical history of DM and medication histories (including anti-hypertensive drugs, hypoglycemic agents, insulin, and aspirins) across the four quartiles of SIRI (p < 0.05) (Table 1).
