Elevated expression of SBEM was found to be significantly associated with larger tumor size (P = 0.002), more frequent lymph node metastasis (P = 0.029), advanced tumor node metastasis stage (P = 0.005), reduced expression of the progesterone receptor (PR) (P = 0.002), and a higher Ki-67 index (P = 0.006).
