In comparison with ginsenoside Rg3 group and oxaliplatin group, the study finds that combined application of ginsenoside Rg3+oxaliplatin significantly reduces PCNA and cyclin D1 expression, weakly binds cyclin D1 to CDK4, fails to inhibit cyclin D1-CDK4 complex formation, inhibits cell proliferation, and stimulates hepatoma cell SMMC-7721 apoptosis, thereby exerting anticancer effect [48]. This evidence concerns the gene CDK4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
