After TNF-α treatment, the expression of SLAMF8 mRNA and protein in MH7A and HFLS-RA cell lines increased in a time-dependent manner, while SLAMF8 knocking significantly reduced the TNF-α-induced pro-inflammatory response in MH7A and HFLS-RA cells, including proliferation, invasion and migration in the cells. At the same time, when SLAMF8 is silent, the expression of p-ERK, MMP-1 and MMP-13 is also significantly suppressed. Here, MMP13 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
