EGF and neoplasm: Ren et al. (2022) used green fluorescence carbon dots (GCDs), which have excellent optical properties as drug carriers, and simultaneously loaded the photosensitizer Ce6, chemotherapeutic drug cisplatin, and targeting ligand EGF to prepare GCD-Ce6/Pt-EGF nanocomposites. Through in vitro and in vivo experiments, these NPs were found to actively target EGF, avoiding non-specific uptake by normal tissues, increasing the content of Ce6 and cisplatin at the tumor site.
