Highly-expressed coagulation fibrinolysis genes, including PLAU, PLAUR, and SERPINE1, are associated with monocytic infiltration and overexpressed immune checkpoints (PD-L2 and CD276/B7-H3) in pan-cancer, indicating that increased PLAU may be related to the TME in cancer (Saidak et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene SERPINE1 and cancer.
