Our results indicated that STAT2 knocked down could rescue the decreased expression of cardiac contraction biomarkers induced by SARS-CoV-2 XBB1.5 pseudovirus treatment, which provided a theoretical basis for the use of STAT family inhibitors such as NSC74859 [50], Fludarabine [51], and Stattic [52] to alleviate inflammation-related cardiac dysfunction in patients with AF caused by viral infection via blocking the transcription and signal transduction functions of STAT2. The gene discussed is SOAT1; the disease is viral infectious disease.
