Different ERAP1 genetic variants have been associated with multiple HLA class I autoinflammatory diseases, such as axSpA, Behcet's disease (BD), psoriasis, multiple sclerosis (MS), type I diabetes, essential hypertension, and susceptibility to infectious diseases such as human papillomavirus (HPV)-induced cancer, HIV, hepatitis C virus (HCV), and human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection [42,57,58]. The gene discussed is ERAP1; the disease is Behcet disease.
