In osteoporosis, there is a high combination of pro-inflammatory factors (IL-1, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-11, IL-15, and IL-17) and active osteoclastogenesis, which results in an inflammatory environment with low pH (acidic microenvironment) in the bone tissue.4,40-42 Parolini et al reported that the homing and fusion of exosomes to cells and tissues with an inflammatory (acidic) state occurs more frequently. Here, IL11 is linked to osteoporosis.
