The first B-cell specific model of BCL2 deregulation was based on a human BCL2-Ig minigene mimicking the t(14;18) translocation and resulted in the development of polyclonal lymphoid hyperplasia involving B cells and plasma cells and to an increased probability of developing GC-experienced lymphomas, including FL-like and plasmablastic-like lymphoma (72, 73). This evidence concerns the gene BCL2 and lymphoma.
