CYP2C19 and coronary artery disorder: A study comparing CAD patients with control subjects evaluated during medical checkups found that the variable of CYP2C19 genotype was not significantly linked with the development of CAD; however, when the studied population was stratified by sex, there was a significant difference, concluding that only for women, the CYP2C19 polymorphism was identified as a predictor of CAD risk [35].
