Aberrant INO80 function has been associated with progression of multiple types of cancer through its binding to key enhancer and super-enhancer elements involved in oncogenic gene expression, including CXCL5 and MAP3K1 in non-small-cell lung cancer (Zhang et al., 2017), BMPR1A in live cancer (Wang et al., 2019), and MITF and SOX9 in melanoma (Zhou et al., 2016a). This evidence concerns the gene BMPR1A and cancer.
