This qRT-PCR screening showed that the mRNA levels of iPLAγ, also referred to as patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing lipase 8 (PNPLA8), cPLA2γ (PLA2G4C) and lysosomal phospholipase A2 (PLA2G15) were upregulated, and LPCAT4 was downregulated in a panel of breast cancer cell lines compared to nonmalignant breast epithelial cells (Fig. 3A).
