At day 1, serum β-syn (median: 20.1 pg/ml, IQR 5.8–43.8 pg/ml), NfL (median: 50.4 pg/ml, IQR 34.0–113.1 pg/ml) and GFAP (median: 6.3 ng/ml, IQR 1.0–20.5 ng/ml) concentrations were not significantly associated with patients’ age, sex, time from clinical onset to blood sampling, admission NIHSS scores, creatinine levels, stroke etiology or presence of neurological comorbidities. Here, GFAP is linked to stroke disorder.
