Numerous studies have described alterations in genes belonging to the two major carcinogenic pathways for PCa [19, 34–36], such as PTEN, SPOP, SLC45A3, ETV1 and ERG. In this regard, our group reported significant associations between alterations in the expression of these proteins and prognosis [21–24, 37]. The gene discussed is ETV1; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
