Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy has proved successful at combating certain hematologic malignancies, particularly CD19-positive B-cell malignancies, including relapsed/refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) [13, 14]. The gene discussed is CD19; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
