Consistent with our previous report [2], mice expressing heterozygous Jak2V617F (Jak2V617F/+) showed a PV disease characterized by significant increase in white blood cell (WBC), neutrophil (NE), platelet (PLT), red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb) and hematocrit (HCT) levels in their peripheral blood compared to control mice (Fig. 1A–F). The gene discussed is GSTM1; the disease is acquired polycythemia vera.
