Figure 5B shows that in the absence of MORC3, THP1 cells are unable to repress the MIEP effectively, resulting in high numbers of cells expressing IE2YFP after infection, relative to TSA treated cells (which is a known to cause derepression of IE expression in latently infected cells and indicates the number of reactivatable cells in the population which allows relative reactivation in the absence of MORC3 to be calculated relative to a known strong differentiation stimulus). Here, MORC3 is linked to infection.
