Aside from a few articles supporting that RSK3 regulates cell death, mostly by protecting cancer cells from cell death, for instance by promoting resistance to (i) PI3K inhibitors [57] or cisplatin [58] in breast cancer, (ii) EGFR inhibitors in the context of pancreatic cancer [59] or (iii) BET inhibitors in lung cancer [60] and occasionally promoting cell death [61], very little is known on this kinase.
