ZBP1 and influenza: Beyond the specific implications for influenza infections, ZBP1 has been found to be involved in other infections [46,50], and several genetic studies have demonstrated that activated PANoptosome components are often associated with hyperactivation of ZBP1 or inflammasome assembly and IL-1β secretion in diverse pathophysiological conditions [51,52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59,60,61].
