In the in vitro evaluations, the LS 180 cell line (human colon adenocarcinoma) was used to perform the RHO123 accumulation assays, which demonstrated that CR (100 and 200 μg/mL, for 72 h), berberine, coptisine, and palmatine (2.5, 5.0, or 10 μM, for 4 h) caused an increased P-gp-mediated efflux of RHO123. This evidence concerns the gene PGP and colon adenocarcinoma.
