With our surveillance data, we cannot further describe the details of the clinical presentations, but in a recent report, PWH with CD4+T-cell count < 100 cells/μL and unsuppressed HIV viremia were identified at higher risk of severe disease, with risk for necrotizing skin and mucosal lesions, lung involvement with multifocal opacities (perivascular nodules), secondary bacterial infection, sepsis, and death [12]. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and bacterial infectious disease.
