In our study, CYP2E1 expression in the liver rose in Group II compared to Group I. This finding corroborates other studies, saying that CYP2E1 was increased in obesity, fatty liver, NAFLD, and NASH in both humans and rodents, and this increase appears to correlate well with the severity of NAFLD [7,10,11,12]. This evidence concerns the gene CYP2E1 and Obesity.
