On the atherosclerotic field, the phase I/II clinical trial “LILACS study” has the aim to evaluate the potential role of low-dose IL-2, aldesleukin, in patients affected by stable ischemic heart disease and acute coronary syndromes: primary endpoints are related to the safety and tolerability of aldesleukin, and in one of the exploratory analyses, the effect of ld-IL-2 on ILC2s and its correlation with vascular inflammation [241].
