When using a comprehensive diagnostic approach, which involves investigations into potential causes of elevated PRL levels such as PRL chromatography, pituitary MRI, and ruling out other factors such as hypothyroidism, pregnancy, and the use of drugs that may elevate PRL, a significant portion of PCOS patients with elevated PRL levels were found to have other concurrent factors responsible for the HPRL.
