MST1R and cancer: RON splicing is also involved in the occurrence and development of lung, colon, and breast cancers, suggesting that it can be used as a new prognostic indicator and treatment target for various cancers [64,69,70,71]; for example, RONΔ155 and RONΔ160 could be used as indicators of tumour growth and the switch from RONΔ160 or RONΔ165 to RONΔ170 may help with the inhibition of tumour initiation.
