In women, the global score of adherence to the MedDiet (17-I) was found to be significantly associated with longer DNAmTL (p = 0.002 in Model 1 after adjusting for age, and this association persisted in multivariate Model 3 after controlling for age, diabetes, BMI, metformin, insulin, lipid-lowering drugs, hypertension medication, SBP, education, smoking, and physical activity). Here, INS is linked to diabetes mellitus.
