Curcumin (CUR) and its analogues have emerged as promising agents that modulate various cellular pathways involved in melanoma pathogenesis, including mammalian sterile 20-like kinase 1 (MST1), JNK, forkhead box O3 (Foxo3), Bcl-2 interacting mediator of cell death (Bim-1), myeloid leukemia cell differentiation protein (Mcl-1), Bcl-2, Bcl-2-like protein 4 (BAX), and JAK-2/STAT3 [114,115,116,117]. This evidence concerns the gene FOXO3 and melanoma.
