In white non-smokers, the C-T-G/T-C-A haplotype for the CXCR2 rs2230054-rs1126579-rs1126580 polymorphisms correlated with an increased susceptibility to periodontitis, while the C-T-G/T-C-G haplotype protected against the disease [42]. Here, CXCR2 is linked to periodontitis.
