The association of GA genotypes in the CXCR2 polymorphism with a higher risk of endometrial cancer also remained significant after the adjustments carried out for age, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, and endometrial thickness above 5 mm, which had previously been reported as important risk factors for the cancer studied [26,27,28,29]. The gene discussed is CXCR2; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
