All of the results suggest that LOC339059 may function as a tumor suppressor via the inhibition of IL-6/STAT3 signaling through endogenous competition with c-Myc, competitively inhibiting the latter’s binding to the IL-6 promoter, resulting in the decreased transcription of IL-6 and, therefore, lower PDL1 expression and M2 macrophage polarization (Figure 8).
