CSN3 and central nervous system cancer: Among the viral transcripts that are commonly expressed in VV-GMCSF-Lact-infected glioma and NB cells, there is E3L, encoding a dsRNA-binding protein involved in the inhibition of innate immune responses; E9L, the catalytic subunit of viral DNA polymerase; I3L, an ssDNA-binding protein; I4L, the ribonucleotide reductase large subunit; and CSN3, or lactaptin, the fragment of human kappa-casein gene inserted in the VV-GMCSF-Lact genome (Table 3).
