Here, we provide evidence to indicate that ID1 in TAMs can also play a scaffolding role to impede CD8+ T cell recruitment and activate the FAK-YAP cascade in cancer cells by impairing STAT1-mediated transcription of CCL4 and SerpinB2. Our findings have introduced an additional layer of understanding to the divergent functions of ID1 in cancer biology by highlighting the crosstalk between TAMs and cancer cells. The gene discussed is SERPINB2; the disease is cancer.
