Notably, treatment of different sera from prostate cancer patients with heparinase, but not with sialidase used as a control, completely abrogated Ca10H levels in those sera (Fig. 8E), verifying the relationship of human Ca10H to murine Ca10 and to heparan sulfate, at least in the serum of prostate cancer patients.
