To explore potential role of SETD2 in PKD-ccRCC transition in vivo, we generated a PKD mouse model by overexpressing oncogene c-MYC under the control of the Ksp promoter (hereafter referred as KM mice), and knockout Setd2 gene using the same Ksp promoter in this PKD mice (hereafter referred as KMS mice) to establish a ccRCC mouse model18 (Fig. 1a). The gene discussed is SETD2; the disease is nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
