Analyses of SREBP1/SREBP2 chromatin immunoprecipitation coupled with high-throughput sequencing (ChIP-seq) datasets from GEO revealed no binding of SREBP1 on the promoter region of SLC40A1 in human esophageal squamous cell line KYSE-150 (GSM4274803) and human esophageal carcinoma cell line TE-5 (GSM4274805), while no binding of SREBP2 on the promoter region of SLC40A1 in melanoma cell line MEL-178 (GSM4774298), monocytes (GSM3702331), and lung cancer cell line A549 (GSM2423787) (Fig. 4C). This evidence concerns the gene SREBF1 and carcinoma of esophagus.
