CRP and Cowden disease: After 6 weeks, 70% experienced clinical remission accompanied with reduction in Pediatric Crohn’s Disease Activity Index (PCDAI) and normalization of C-reactive protein (CRP).22 A pivotal multinational randomized controlled trial (RCT) was published a few years later, comparing CDED + Partial Enteral Nutrition (PEN) to EEN in children with mild to moderate CD.14 The CDED + PEN vs EEN showed superior tolerability and equal effectiveness in inducing remission at week 6, with response rates around 85%.
