RPS6KB1 and Sepsis: By examining the levels of phosphorylated p70S6K (P-p70S6K), IL6, and SLC7A8 in PBMCs from healthy controls, septic patients at 0 h (immunogenic), and septic patients at 72 h (immunosuppressed), we observed decreased levels of all three in the PBMCs of sepsis 72 h, indicating an immunosuppressive state (Fig. 6j and Supplementary Fig. S6H and S6I).
