The proportion of patients with a tumor size of > 5.0 cm (p < 0.001), multiple tumors (p < 0.001), MVI (p < 0.001), cirrhosis (p = 0.026), high-grade tumor differentiation (p = 0.026), tumor necrosis (p < 0.001), an AFP level of > 400 ng/ml (p < 0.001), major resection (p = 0.007), and a pathology of T3–4 (p < 0.001) was higher in the group with tumor recurrence within one year than in the group without recurrence within one year.
