Analysis of TCGA datasets by using the GEPIA2 database also showed similar SMYD2 expression in bladder carcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, cervical squamous cell carcinoma, liver hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, rectum adenocarcinoma, thymoma, uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma, skin cutaneous melanoma, and uterine carcinosarcoma (Fig. 1B). This evidence concerns the gene SMYD2 and thymoma.
