Overall, the antidiabetic effect of pomegranate peel compounds punicalin, punicalagin, and ellagic acid with proteins GFAT, PTP1β, PPAR‐γ, RTKs, RBP4, α‐amylase, α‐glucosidase, GCK, AQP‐2, and TKIR highlights the potential of these compounds as a natural treatment for diabetes and glucose metabolism disorders.
