Most frequently mutated genes in NSCLC include epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFRs, 10–35%), Kirsten rat sarcoma (KRAS, 25%) and fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1, 9–20%) while anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) factor are the next significant. Here, KRAS is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
