ACTA1 and pulmonary fibrosis: In the bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis model, Juglanin treatment significantly downregulated fibrosis markers, such as matrix metalloproteinase 9, TGF-β1, fibronectin, α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), and collagen type I. This resulted in the attenuation of lung fibrosis and a reduction in inflammation.
