Chemerin regulates immune function, obesity, and metabolism through three receptors [chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1), G-protein-coupled receptor 1 (GPR1), C–C motif chemokine receptor-like 2 (CCRL2)] that are expressed in the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, testis, ovary, and placenta [123]. This evidence concerns the gene CMKLR2 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
