ATG7 and infection: Liu et al. reported increases in the levels of autophagy-related proteins LC3 and Beclin-1, as well as hyperinflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-α, in the AEC2 cells of mice treated with LPS, which suggested that SIRT1 may participate in autophagy by affecting Atg7 in AEC2 cells, thereby protecting mice from infection [93].
