ALB and diabetes mellitus: Table 1 presents a comparison of the clinical and laboratory parameters according to GNRI quartiles. The median GNRI values for each quartile were 96.8, 105.7, 108.8, and 113.2, respectively. Patients in Q1 had a longer duration of DM and higher levels of fasting plasma glucose and HbA1C than those in the other three quartiles. In addition, serum levels of hemoglobin, calcium, total cholesterol and albumin, and BMI were lower in Q1 than in the other three quartiles. The UACR was higher in Q1 than in the other groups (p < 0.001).
