The decision was made based on the results of RATIFY (CALGB 10603)—a global, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 trial carried out in 225 centers in 17 countries—that establish whether the addition of midostaurin for induction and consolidation, with subsequent 1 year of maintenance treatment, will improve OS of AML patients with FLT3 mutation aged 18 to 59 years. Here, FLT3 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
