miRNA-27a was markedly up-regulated in invasive breast cancers that expressed low levels of its target gene ZBTB10 (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 10), a gene involved in the regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II, and the expression of miRNA-27a or ZBTB10 was significantly correlated with clinicopathological parameters, including tumor size, lymph node involvement, and distant metastasis, but not with receptor status [48]. Here, ZBTB10 is linked to invasive breast carcinoma.
