Our data showed that the LN metastasis rate was predominantly higher in cases with an increased number of Foxp3 cells at the IF and in cases with a high proportion of Foxp3/CD4 and Foxp3/CD8 at the IF, indicating that the number and proportion of Foxp3 cells at the IF are involved in LN metastasis, as has been shown by previous studies on advanced CRC [10]. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
