Retrieving data from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets, Ding et al. reported that the mRNA expression of 9 genes in total, namely enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2), cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), CENPA, RD54-like (RAD54L), PDZ binding kinase (PBK), helicase, lymphoid specific (HELLS), HJURP, aurora kinase A (AURKA), and aurora kinase B (AURKB), was associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients’ OS as well as invasion depth of tumor and distant metastasis [49]. The gene discussed is EZH2; the disease is neoplasm.
