The ADAURA study has demonstrated that adjuvant treatment with osimertinib (a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor) following complete tumor resection in patients with EGFRm+ stage IB-IIIA NSCLC results in a statistically significant and clinically meaningful prolongation of disease-free survival (DFS) compared to the placebo [16,17]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
